A wet spring and heavy rains has left both of our offices and many of the lodges/cabins struggling with high water. Notice the tires of the stationary dock just peaking out of the water. These are the docks that are usually used to load right into the otter door with the fork lift. Platforms are needed just to get to the planes!!
Walter turbine otters C-GBTU and C-GIOF (Ernie Nichols of Huron Air and Outfitters). C-GIOF being taken out of the water last fall. The floats are taken off and wheel/skis installed for winter work.
This spring Ed spent a week in Prague meeting with Walter turbine manufacturers and the Aircraft Convesion and Upgrade Alliance. Above is a picture of their main office and the plant assemply line.
